Unless the system name change makes absolutely perfect sense, I think it should be avoided, especially when it concerns a vanilla system. Omega-3 is a bit iffy, but concerning the amount of Bretonian control has been shown (or forced) in the system, it at least makes some amount of sense. On the other hand, I still abhor the rename of Edinburgh, which I've said before in other threads how much sense it doesn't make.

It's a hit-or-miss topic, but a rule of thumb is to think fourteen times before touching a vanilla system's name, even if it generally makes some amount of sense. Modded systems, like Orkney, are within the Devs' realm to change. They added them, so I don't really care. Orkney is still Orkney but with less -ay and more -oui.

But then, this is just my own opinion.

A plurality is not a majority, and a majority is not everybody.
