Ships Costing Much More Than They Should

As the subject says, this post is about ships *theoretically* costing more than they should, because of the forced armor upgrade now included in all kits. My question is, how can I disable that included armor upgrade for use on my own server? Many of my players want to play the game "properly", whereupon they can upgrade their ship as they get the funds for it instead of having to farm with a freighter just to buy a light fighter because it costs 5,5 million credits.
