Applicant Description Biography: My name is Marie-Laure ALTMANN. I am 34. Born on New Paris. My father is Siegfried ALTMANN, from Rheinland. Former engineer for Daumann Heavy Construction, he decided to live in Gallia and has been naturalized, he works now for the EFL Oil & Machinery. My mother is Clara ARNAULT (now ALTMANN), former Royal Police officer, now working in the newly formed Gendarmerie. Interested by my father's job, since I am a child, I studied mechanics and obtained my diploma in 729 A.G.S, when I was 21. After that, I joined the EFL as a technician and worked on different projects. My tasks were many : Conveying technologies and tools, reparing ships, and participating on construction sites. Through all of this, I learned many engineering tips, learned how to fly medium and heavy cargo ships, and with all my success, i've worked my way up to the post of Project leader in charge of a Lucullus EFL Liner, after a training period, in 735 A.G.S. I held this position until my 32, in 740 A.G.S. After 11 years spent in EFL projects, I decided to change my way. I wanted to perform my duties in a different company, and doing something else for my country. Regarding the progress of the war against Bretonia, I chose to offer my services to the Royal Navy and joined the army in the engineering and logistic branch. When the truth about the former King Charles IX has been enlightened, when the Council forces entered in New Paris, I was confused about the future of our nation, and angry about all the lies this man told to us. But I remained quiet. Through the time, all my doubts were cleared by the new organization within Gallia. I am now part of the Confederation Defense Forces, but somehow, I am more attached to the Duchy of Burgundy than the other members of the Confederation. And since we have new threats to our country and new goals, I want to go further. Motivations: In the past, I had respect and admiration for the members of la Marine Royale. Even when I wasn’t in the navy yet, with the stories of your fierce fights, and your bravery against the bretonian forces in the Climax of the conflict. And this feeling has been strengthened when I’ve heard of your return in Gallia after the end of the second Gallic War, hurt by the traitor Enclave forces, but not defeated. Still standing tall, and decided to work within the Confederation for a better and greater Gallia. I love my country, and I would be honoured to offer my services to the new Marine Nationale. Skills: I have very good engineering skills, and logistic knowledge. I am used to fly medium and heavy cargo ships, liners (as well as ships of the same size). My activities were also to manage small crews. I used Repair ships during my activities, and I think I am able to fly a fighter too, if needed. This poison must not spread within our nation. We have to stop them. Gallic Brigands : These thieves are up to any vileness which could let them earn goods and credits. They do nothing more than harming the people. Le Maquis : Les Maquisards are nothing more than terrorists and murderers, no matter what ideas there are fighting for. L’Enclave : They are like the former king, traitors to the people of Gallia and his core values, and the monsters responsible of Leed’s destruction. They deserve no mercy. While on patrol, you encounter a small wing of hostile fighters. They spot you, and begin threatening your life unless you disable your craft and surrender to their cause. You are outgunned and the nearest friendly patrol that would bring the tide to your favour is ten minutes away from you. What will you do?: I try to gain time, and staying alive as long as possible to wait for the reinforcements. But if they really want to fight, they will find what they are seeking. During one of your flights, you encounter an escape pod or a malfunctioning ship. The person inside is speaking in Sirian tongue and is asking for immediate help. If you wait any longer, the pilot will perish horribly. What will you do?: I will save the pod crew, and take them to the nearest authority.
