I am Maréchal Eveline Laroux of the Maréchausée, former director of the Royal Police. I represent law and order in the Hebrides and its surrounding regions.

Whether or not it was your intention, it certainly sounds like you have succeeded in getting yourself into quite a predicament. Nonetheless I will not waste your time with false promises of rescue as we simply do not have the resources to dedicate to the recovery of non-vital assets at this time.

I can, however, confirm that your information is accurate. The king has been missing since the treacherous Grand Duchy of Burgundy supplanted the throne and handed it to the Council. Naturally, due to the resultant turmoil and tthe ongoing effort to restore order, we have been unable to find any information on his whereabouts.

I have not had the pleasure of talking to Joseph directly, but I am aware of his boasting. His posturing is admirable, but it is the brave men and women of the Enclave that fought and died for the nobility that went on to betray us, and it is the Enclave that shall have its revenge.

We find ourselves in a precarious position, between the Bretonians to the south and the rebel government to the north. But we are the best Gallia has to offer, and we do not suffer defeat.
