A fateful reunion

She wasn't sure how to respond to Augustin - that proposition came out completely unexpected. She took a few seconds to think of what to say.

"I can't, Augustin. I have promises to keep, and eventually I'll be able to get my family to safety, away from the Council government. They're still on Nevers, and I can only hope they're doing fine under terrorist occupation." she answered regretfully.

"It's safe neither here, nor there for them. If I keep doing what I've done, I'll be able to get them somewhere safe thanks to the connection I'm working for." Ambre explained. As much as she would have liked to return to where she was - she was no longer in a good condition to fight, and, to her mind, lost everything already. She should've died there and then - everything she's done after her release was for her family whom she hasn't heard from for years.

"It's a sacrifice I have to make."
