Application: @darkwind How did you find the faction? What caught your interest?
A member of yours(@Groshyr) started to gather us as a party, flying as nomads and e.t.c We have started to invest ourselves in ships and to investigate more and more available options for us as Nomads. Your RPG system of evolution points and trial-achievement system surely caught my eye. I like to read books having hivemind connections, or about hives of sentient ants, spiders, zergs and e.t.c. Nomads are kind of all similar to it. The final argument to join immediately Vagrants came to me when I discovered certain things, which make my dream come true about Freelancer from ten years ago.
Have you read the faction writeups? Do you know what a Nomad is and do you have experience roleplaying them?
Briefly I have read, and since I like to read wiki, I'm going to familiarize myself further. Yes, I have some nomad experience already as nomad Enlil. For example, here I was flying around Freeport 11, as Siris when I interacted with Zoner cruiser and Junker VHF.
Another joyful encounter I had right now, finding Freelancer who was able to speak by telepathy back, chased by pirate gunboat, tried to be arrested by police officer. the log of it.
How long have you been playing Freelancer? Do you have experience leading factions, etc.? Have you ever been sanctioned and if yes, why?
I play here from 2012 year, but only 5 months ago I returned and started to play with language skills enough to participate in roleplay activity. Regarding leading factions... I'm sort of often being an advisor. I wasn't 1ic myself but happened to be for a short time 2ic in some faction, where a previous 2ic promoted me because he saw me being more active in all faction aspects.
I was sanctioned one time in my beginning for not giving attack declaration phrases because I was overwhelmed by mass talking in a chat and wasn't that remembering this rule, I learned my lesson and making double sure to have clear attack declarations.
As a Nomad, you are the antagonist. Are you aware that you are to play this role and that others will treat you as such? Do you have a problem with that?
Yes, I'm aware, I don't find any problems here. It's more interesting from some point because this time faction is antagonist not because of human greed for money and power, but because they are another race, promoting their interests and carrying goals aimed at their own development as a society.
Do you have roleplay experience outside of Discovery? Did you ever play on other Freelancer servers and if yes, which?
Nope
We have a clear code of conduct. We expect decent behaviour from our members on the forums as well in the game. Do you believe you will be able to do that? Do you acknowledge that your membership can be terminated if you violate the faction code of conduct or the server rules?
With great power, comes great responsibility. As a member of a police, I was quite remembering to not make an international crisis. The amount of many rules we need to remember and uphold is surely more than any other faction is having. I already found faction code, and acknowledge it, though it's slightly outdated.
While not strictly necessary, getting a grip on your roleplaying ability is crucial for our evaluation process. Please provide links to roleplay that you have done on the Discovery Forums as well as a list of character names you use ingame.
