Greetings Jack!

My First Maat, Mathew Davis, recently announced to me his desire to step forward in his career by having his own command. I know him for several years now and he is a hard working, dedicated young man, quick thinking and very firm in his decisions. I never had any doubts when leaving the Reverie in his capable hands. Thus I suggested that he starts with a Transporter for our ONE devision. I hope this is okay with you and HR. I append his motivation letter to you, stating his wish in his own words.

Good Day Captain Ashton!

My name is Mathew Davis and I currently serve as First Maat on Captain Franklins OS&C|Reverie. I hold this position now for several years. Altough I love my job as First Maat dearly, I think it is time for me to try for new waters, as they say.
I joined Orbital Spa & Cruise shortly after I left from Camebridge, being only 19 years old. I had no special education or training. But the late Captain Jason Thinnek, may he rest eternally, took me up on his Malleciana and trained me for space flight and all tasks that were necessary. When the Malleciana was destroyed 10 years ago, I and only a handful of her crew survived. Since then I served on different ships, working my rank up, until I was able to stay on the Reverie eversince.
Now I want to expand my knowledge and skills, thus taking on the responsibility of commanding my own ship. Captain Franklin suggested to start with a Transport, thus I want to apply for taking over the command of the Isolaiva, a Titanic Class Transport, currently in Captain Franklins possession, who is willing to transfer her to me.
I dearly hope for a positive decision.
