Isla may not have as many years in Academies as other colleagues of her, but she has gained a lot of knowledge through her experiences. Having worked as a Security Agent, Convoy Escort, Scout, Police Officer and both as an unaffiliated - and affiliated with The Sirius Syndicate - Bounty Hunter has given Isla the chance to fly through Liberty countless times, and learn her ways around, alone. She has faced many opponents, and the odds have been against her multiple times, but her situational awareness has always helped her get ahead of her opponent. Over the past year of her life, Isla has gained a vast amount of experience flying gunboat-class vessels and considers herself excellent in them, having spent countless hours both in space and in simulations, training her skills. Her knowledge, understanding and experience of snubcraft remains at a mediocre level, while her capabilities on larger capital ships never cease to impress.

Biography

Isla was born at Pueblo Station, after her parents were forced to migrate there, coming from Kusari. She doesn't know much of their pasts, all she's been told is that they were dismissed by their company, GMG, due to a training accident. Having no place to go, and no people they knew that could help with providing shelter, her parents fled towards Liberty and lived on Planet Manhattan for a few years, before moving to Pueblo Station due to life on Manhattan being more expensive than they anticipated and could fund.

Isla loved law enforcement from a very young age and she always wanted to be part of Liberty Police, Inc.; the Police authority that was taking care of Liberty's security. Her father, a valued pilot, saw himself in his daughter's eyes and taught her how to fly before she visited any academies, giving her a good head-start, and the necessary tools for the life that was awaiting her. Isla finally finished with her education and entered adulthood. She went to a flight academy and in her free time made money through escorting convoys and scouting regions. She got herself new equipment, a better ship than the one her father had managed to buy her and eventually, she was seeing herself executing private bounties and fulfilling security duties for private corporations. During the 4 years of her course not only did she gain the knowledge from the academy itself, but she also gained knowledge through the various missions she flied.

The 4 years quickly went by and Isla came out with a diploma in her hands and tons of experience in space. She knew though that she had a lot more to learn, and so she spent the next few months of her life flying around in space, going on patrols, escorting transports, getting to know Liberty space even better. Not a lot of time had passed until she felt ready to complete her goal, and signed up for the LPI, where she got accepted in her first try.

The next year had it's ups and downs for Isla. Working for the LPI was truly an amazing experience and she valued all the people she met during her time there, managing to make Deputy Chief of Police in what seemed like a very short period of time - an indication of how successful her career in the LPI was and how respected Isla was considered among officials. However, something seemed off. Isla couldn't quite wrap her head around whether it was the current command of the LPI or if it was the Board, but towards November 827 she decided she wanted out of LPI.

Towards the end of January 828 Isla, having done various side-jobs during those few months, including working for the known mercenary group "The Sirius Syndicate", being a respected high ranking member of the LPI, was given the choice of leading the Marshals Service, a long-gone, long forgotten department of the Liberty Governmental Police that is slowly rising back into activity. Without much to keep her, Isla accepted the offer. The Marshals Service turned out to unfortunately have been a failed experiment for Isla and the rest of the personnel assigned to them. During late August of 828 the Marshals officially disbanded with their assets being completely frozen. All personnel working for the Marshals either disappeared, or was forced to find a new job.

In the meantime, things over at the LPI side of things weren't looking great either. Chief of Police Jean Holiday had long retired, about a few months after Isla resigned, and ex-Captain Harrison took her position. However, the Liberty Police, Inc. was not doing well and Chief Harrison knew very well that the corporation wouldn't last long under his hands. Harrison resigned from the position of Chief of Police and ex-Captain Otonashi Yuzuru was assigned, being the only individual able to replace Harrison, however unhappy he was with that. Yuzuru being one of Isla's closest friends over the past many years, once he saw the press release on the disbanding of the Marshals, he saw hope that Isla would once again return to LPI and hopefully relieve him of his duties as a Chief - and so it happened.

In an attempt to 'revive' the corporation, Commissioner Nazumaki has made many changes into the LPI's ranks, departments, precincts and general structure, hoping to get the results she expects.
