Biography: Cortés, originating from noble and wealthy Cretan familia, was the eldest daughter of her familia - deeply traditional and partiarchal, the word of her father was the undeniable truth, one that determined her future as the sword of the Imperio. One of a few whose education begun with the basics - physical education, hand-to-hand combat, handling firearms - at her very childhood - as she barely turned twelve. In parallel the girl sparkled interest in robotics and melee combat, mostly fascinated with the 'singing cold steel of the sword', having more respect and distinctive taste for it over firearms Amparo began to call 'tasteless cowardice' at some point.
At the same year Amparo's education began - Cortés familia have adopted another child into the family; said child, Lucia Jaquez; Jaquez familia was known to lose their wealth, property and their lives in destructive fire on their mansion, and their daughter is known to be the only survivor of the accident and she sent to the orphanage where Jaquez caught Amparo's eye: with their almost identical appearance they could certainly pass as twins, despite the age difference.
Amparo entered active service on Yaren in 815 A.S. - just two years prior to the station being annexed into Imperium Omicronis; it is certainly known that Cortés was among the last defenders that covered the retreat of surviving Corsair marines and made it out alive - albeit unconscious and at a cost of losing her legs at the beginning of the final assault at the retreating Imperio marines.
Cortés was taken back to Ciutadella and later, as soon as her life was not in immediate danger - back to Crete, where, in the clinic, Amparo have regained consciousness - only to discover her current state was less than pleasant, no military needs crippled invalid in military service. Infuriated and unwilling to accept remaining useless for the rest of her life, Amparo used her family fortune and status to reach out to critical minds and obtain all necessary material - replacing her limbs with cybernetic prosthesis in a matter of months and returning to active service as soon as Cortés finished her rehabilitation.

Why do you want to join this faction?: There is a certain someone that invited me, and i figured i don't mind accepting the invitation.
What do you expect from this faction?: Since the Custodi vanished into shadows and the brief stay of Reapers did not go far Corsairs have lacked the more serious niche in representing this faction on the contrary to The Brotherhood. This faction, i hope, will go far and fill that niche and won't just gradually die off as others did.
What kind of activities do you prefer?: Varies. From roleplay to raids, a balanced mixture of it fits me best.
