We have been following this incident on Guild Channels. Fitzgerald is quite right on Core policy. These ships are too valuable to risk in the pursuit of small-time crooks.
As long as pirates have access to capital ships the authorities can quite rightly feel jumpy when ANY large vessel arrives at the hub of all Sirius.
For now, I will be advising Core agents under our employ to stay out of Liberty. We have gunships and armoured transports adequate for any journey there.
The pirate problem is manageable - we have deployed a pack of fighters and bombers there ourselves to assist the LPI in dealing with the menace and we are making slow and steady progress. The greater threat to us, members of the Guild, is to be found, not in the bars and drug dens of LIberty, but on the peripheries of the Houses - in the Omegas and Omicrons.
Again we find the Guild at cross purposes. Perhaps we need to establish an agreed policy.

// I do agree that the large ships are for the war with the Nomads and Order. But isn't this suggesting that any BH capship that turns up in NY is oorp, and therefore subject to a sanction? It seems a bit harsh considering how people are trying to rationalise their presence from a RP point of view (i.e.trying rather just ploughing on regardless). The swarming of Liberty by cap ships is going to happen so long as cap ships exist. Stuff like this is going to happen again until some kind of agreement is reached - ideally RP wise. My advice; stay out of Liberty anyway - there's no need to go there. Go there in a GS if you have to.
How about a code or policy that BHers can agree to so we're not at complete loggerheads over stuff like this and calling each other "right" or "wrong" - that serves only to fracture what is already a loose organisation. People have different takes on it and it's splintering the Guild. We have a register - how about someone organise a council that allows us to function together more coherently?
