The Gallic Gates use to allow you to hit F3 from exiting a TL and your Ships would dock with the Gate and go through. This is the same as the other JGs around Sirius ( I generally fly up to the hole anyway, so it is not a problem for me).
Now, if you exit the TL and hit F3, you start flying up to it and then stop at a short distance from it (depends on size of ship) and don't move, unless you press 'esc' and manually fly the rest of the distance before hitting F3.
It is not just Players, the NPCs now sit at this 'distance' and don't go through the Gate. Which is good in one respect as you are not stopped from going through the Gate, whilst waiting for the NPCs to precede you with their 'slow dock' procedures.
