Factions agreement in O-Tau shows that there must be something that PoB's owner can put on PoB to defend it. And it must be up to him if he will invest in it, or not.

I like the idea of slow but strong PoB turrets a lot (kudos to Shiki). Sieging captains are just chilling there and auto-fire right now. Idea solves a lot of PoB issues we currently have, like hugging to make enemy insta-die, area denial and who knows what more. Worths giving it a try. Owning and sieging a PoB could be ultimate fun, instead of ultimate pain of Disco.

I'd even give PoBs owner opportunity to pay for NPCs to defend it, in case turrets are not ready yet. Money sinks are good thing.

And yes, PoB defence should cost pretty more ammo/resources/credits than to simply call friends to defend it and have fun in a multiplayer game.
