Attached are reports of my patrol that I completed on 31/05/827. I had 3 separate encounters with a freelance smuggler known as "eventful." And after 3 times of escaping, he damaged my vessel and is still on the run. Here are the records of what officially happened.
While patrolling the Texas System. I decided it would be a good idea to patrol the Bering Jump hole. While I was working on my communication frequency, he jumped to Bering, and I chased after him with no avail. He got away. This would not be the first time catching him. But I decided to take a gun-cam footage and to record our communications.

So, after escaping me the first time, long range scanners indicated he was in Texas. So sure enough, I guard the jump hole to Bering. I caught him, once again, smuggling separatist material. He refuses to drop the cargo, and to pay the fine. i fire warning shots, he escapes via the Jump hole and takes the trade lane. I caught up with him, only to see him dock at Marshall Station.

By that time, my patience had ran out. I waited in Bering, near Tanner Asteroid field. And then I catch him again smuggling. I make a threat and asked him to cut his engine. he opened fire after I hit him with my cruise disruptor. He then proceed to destroy my ship while I was on comms. I was later rescued by Captain Grey.
