Falling Apart

Ships had started to arrive. Desperate tension was noticable among all station crew as well as the arriving ones from the supply craft. By now many of the bigger station parts were arriving though the ships started to show signs of combat. Reports were telling of Navy intercepting shipments while her own forces and the Legion's craft fought them head on. Xenos were running some interference for the ships and the support was overwhelmingly positive. Yet she didn't feel any of this. Their operation was falling apart. People were dying in the field against and enemy that shouldn't even be one.

Still estimations were that a week of this was enough. A week that felt like it could bring the end of her people. There was still equipment and personnel to evacuate if they wanted a chance to keep going. And within Bering, the Concord's fleet could finally be dealt more damage than they took. Preparations were made for further combat ops. And later today there would be a remote meeting with the Commonwealth, essentially begging for them to clear up more Legion forces to assist.

The situation was in no way sustainable. But it was just a week to keep them from falling apart.
