Jim sat at his desk, as Carl and Davie dragged the cuffed man into the room. His resistance wasn't too strong, like he expected to be dragged in front of him. He was stupid to think that it was a good idea.

The man wasn't looking much next to him, and just because of the riot armor he wore. He was also the strongest man in this 'hood, and he confirmed it multiple times by now. First, when he managed to get down 4 others in the bar fight, alone. Then, the armor: a memento from an asshole policeman, who turned into the wrong alley. Carl and Davie looked together - Harrigan Street? - Davie asked
Nope. Bad cops - Carl replied. A moment later, Davie grabbed a PADD from Jim's desk, and slapped the man's face with it so hard, that the PADD broke. the man's lip burst, and started bleeding.

Jim stood up, making himself look like a mountain from that chair. An act of dominance, he called it in himself. One that was well practiced and perfected over time. He looked down on the man, and in a pitiful tone he spoke

Well, Underboss Dixon. Ain't that a surprise. I've honestly expected someone lower ranked of the voidmonkeys to be sent to our lowly grounders

A sly grin appeared on his face, as he quickly organized his thoughts, and tried to recall how big a bounty was for him nowadays

Dixon's rough and gritty voice wasn't as loud as Jim, who at this point almost shouted, but nevertheless it easily stopped the monolouge. He didn't even spoke to Jim, but to Davie and Carl.

He ordered, and Jim's face began to turn red from anger. The insolence! - he thought - how dares he say something when I AM speaking? But then he had to laugh. He was cuffed, and harmless what would he do?

At this moment, a bright red light blinded him. The last thought that ever crossed his mind was just a dull surprise

Dixon couldn't stand Jim's idiotic monolouge, and worked faster on the cuff. It was an old mechanical handcuff, and not even a hinged one. He slipped the tools into his hands from the coat's sleeves. That two gorillas didn't even patted him thoroughly, otherwise they would've notice the gun on the back of his belt. If they are so sloppy, it's no wonder they lost half of the sector this year - he thought, and gathered his roughest, most ordering voice, and looked at the gorillas.

He left them half a moment, so the sentence would sttle in their minds, then grabbed his blaster's handle, pulled it out at Jim's face, and shot. The scream of the gun, and the proton blast's deep red glow filled the room for the milisecond, before it left a burned mark on the wall behind the desk.

Jimmy's face was frozen in a dull surprise, the one that's left, anyway. His head's left side was completely missing. After a couple seconds of just standing there like that, he fell backwards, into his chair.

Well then, gentlemen. - his voice was softer this time - I believe we've got a lot of work ahead. I'll assume neither of you will harbor any ill will towards me for this... unpleasant situation with your former boss. But for any "emotional damage" you've suffered, I'm willing to raise your wage by 20%. Is that sounds good to you?

The two men looked together, and nodded What are your orders, boss?

As they asked, someone started banging the door, someone rather young, by the tone of his voice

Boss, you'll want to hear this! Let me in!

Well, this looks like an interesting start.

Dixon smiled, as he walked up to the door.
