Despite the Sci-Fi reality that trades and pirates are doing that to survive, think about like this. In Discovery Sci-Fi, giant trains cost tens of millions of credits and even over 100million. The pirate knows that if someone is flying a 110mil train, they are going to be making millions of credits each trade run to pay it off. Therefore, they can easily tax them for a few mil. However, I agree that faction traders should be taxed less because they are not just helping themselves.
