What reason? You guys are fighting nomads almost everyday, it sounds like fun to me. At least it's better than waiting for death.
Interwiev record
Interwiever:
We may begin... What is your full name?
Candidate:
My full name is Jason Ion Garn. But you guys may call me in a simple way - Jaigar or Jaig.
Interwiever:
Okay... When and where you was born?
Candidate:
I was born 23 August of 802 After Settlement in merchant family on planet Leeds.
Interwiever:
Oh... And... Where is your family right now?
Candidate:
Buried inside the big planetary grave.
Interwiever:
I see... Excuse me for tactlessness...
Candidate:
It`s nothing, such a job for you...
Interwiever:
Right... Could you tell what is the reason for you to join the Velvet?
Candidate:
What reason? You guys are fighting nomads almost everyday, it sounds like fun to me. At least it's better than waiting for death.
Interwiever:
Mister Garn, we need only serious answer from you...
Candidate:
This was serious answer... I would really like to do something unpleasant for this blue goo.
Interwiever:
Fine... Then, could you tell us more about yourself?
Candidate:
Short or full version?
Interwiever:
Full one, please.
Candidate:
I spent most of my childhood on Leeds, excluding Kusari invasion. On that time i was reading history books in New London school of Sir Richard Winston Tobias, until i found records of The Nomad War. I was impressed by example of Tobias` foster-son, Edison Trent who has become a legend of the war. That`s the main reason why i decided to become a pilot. After my school graduation in 22 June of 817, i entered the Cambridge Flight Academy. My parents was so proud, that they made an agreement with management of academy to provide me with the fighter they bought. It was white Hammerhead. Other students envied me so much that they were ready to strangle me...
Interwiever:
Is this the ship you are currently using?
Candidate:
No, it was destroyed. Right now i use Sunburst, which i bought on Freeport 6.
Interwiever:
I see... Please, continue your story.
Candidate:
Next year... News about Gallic War has reached me and my group in academy... Hell, if i only knew how it would end... From the moment of notification, we were placed at the disposal of colonel Argo Lynch, he was under Edison Trent`s command during The Nomad War, but i doubt that this nonsense was good enough to destroy battleships with usage of single fighter. Jeez, this ambitious moron was my worst nightmare for the next two years.
Interwiever:
And... Where you were during Leeds occupation?
Candidate:
Most of that time i was in academy, praying to everyone i know for safety of my parents. In 18 August 821, i was on fifth training flight as part of a group under the command of colonel Lynch. It was in Cumbria asteroid field in New London. 5 minutes after we entered the cloud, gallic fighters attacked us. It was just a massacre... More than half of our group was waporized in first minute of fight. My ship was also destroyed, but I managed to catapult, losing consciousness. 13 days ago i woke up in a Cambridge hospital, saved by colonel Lynch, who was the sole survivor, excluding me... It was the worst moment when i could woke up, because in the next 2 hours i found out that Leeds became planetary cemetery...
Interwiever:
What did you do after receiving the news?
Candidate:
I tried to contact the colonel, but operator of comm-system said to me that colonel Argo Lynch is considered missing for 10 years...
Interwiever:
How could the missing person be your mentor?
Candidate:
No idea... But right now he is dead for sure... I was on his funeral in Liberty last month.
Interwiever:
Liberty? And why his funeral wasn`t in Bretonia?
Candidate:
Before The Nomad War, colonel was an LSF officer. Liberty was his homeworld, after all...
Interwiever:
I see... Mister Garn, i think, we moved away from the main purpose of the interview. I still don`t get it, why aren`t you serving in BAF right now? Loss of homeland is a huge reason to continue serving.
Candidate:
I don`t serve in BAF, because someone in high ranks wants me dead, and i am practically sure that it`s nomad`s call. Two days later, after I tried to contact the colonel, nomad-infected BAF officer tried to kill me, and in his pocket was a datapad with the correspondence of Gallic and Bretonian officers, discussing the Leeds bombing among themselves. And I doubt that all Gallic Royal Navy consist of bastards, there were so-called "deserters". Oh... This sh*t sounds like the plot of some awfull novel.
Interwiever:
Perhabs... And how you managed to defeat that nomad-infected? From what i know, it would be a really bad experience.
Candidate:
Well, despite all of his arrogance, colonel Lynch was very good at melee and tried in every way to demonstrate this at the academy...
Interwiever:
Fine, last question: What is your life motto?
Candidate:
Life is pain. That`s my motto.
Interwiever:
All right... Mister Garn, i thank you for your time, wait for notification when the command decides... On this, the interview is over.
Sunburst, or fighters/gunboats in unusual roles for server RP, such as recon, evacuating people etc. Very rare PVP (Because, despite of character`s RP answer, in PVP i am food).
