Just a few weeks have passed after the evacuation of Edinburgh, and command wants us in the other side of Bretonia.. The reason; Gallic fleet movements were observed heading towards Leeds, command needs Manchester and Magellan both covered. They need information on every single movement of the Gallic fleets toward those systems. I wonder what this whole operation is... Gallia can't be starting war with Liberty too now... that will be very foolish of them. Either way, our mission now is to stay in Manchester and make sure nothing passes by here without us noticing.
A few months later. . .
Command was right. Gallia ended up occupying Leeds... God... what about the people there...? I just hope our forces are enough to break the occupation for enough time so that the people are evacuated. We are still holding our ground in Manchester, we have came across a few scarce Gallic patrols around the sector, nothing too interesting. We are however spotted... they know we are here. Command is informed and they can't stress enough how needed our presence is, even if the Gallic forces know of our position. We can only hope no battlegroup comes to face us, which fortunately is pretty impossible since the Gallic fleets are busy with 2 occupations already.
A few weeks later. . .
Gallic forces did end up raiding the system. There was nothing we could do... we fought back and managed to take down a few ships but in the end we had to get away. No backup was to arrive.. if we stayed there we would be scrap metal by now. We retreated to Newcastle where we hold until further orders. We are currently moored with Battleship Harlow and are receiving some much needed repairs and resupplies. I have no idea where command will send us next... but one thing I do know is that the Gallic fleets are advancing towards California. It seems Gallia is foolish enough to start a war in two fronts. We can only wait this out for now... Let's hope our forces manage to push them back. We cannot afford to lose California as it's a key system to our connection with Bretonia. A very wise move to launch an attack on that system specifically, but I doubt they will have the resources to sustain all of their fleets.
