Why not make the rest of the money makers better?
Stop trying to make trading, of all things, the best way to make money no matter what, while also making a relatively paltry income that requires working it like a part time job for a result. There's no bottlenecks, there's not enough of a population. People linger in the same system for a very long time doing missions, and are easier to run into.
Imagine saying power trading should be the strongest way to make money. It's boring, it's bland, it's the same old same old over and over with little challenge and even less interaction. Missions are active, require some effort put forth by the players, and can always be tweaked and made harder, either with different loadouts or more armor. Trading so far has nothing besides listening to your choice of music player and youtube between Go-Tos and Docks.
How tone deaf are you?
Well shouldn't be trading more profitable because it's boring so you encourage people doing it? Especially for pirating lack of traders sucks, patrolling on lawfuls etc. and also for general activity outside of mission areas traders generate.
And don't even get me started on how useless smuggling is now...
Missions are more fun, I'd still run them if the profits were cut by 20% almost the same and I assume that'd be the case for a lot of other people
Honestly. I do find it funny how it would be at this point, trying to encourage people to be bored and afk trade.
But what can we do currently? Ores are the best thing to trade, and you're currently railroaded heavily with it. I mean I pointed out some of the issues in a previous post. However this doesn't address the boring nature of trading in general, I mean it may allow some people to enjoy it more. But ultimately, trading has minimal input unless you're pirated.
