Christopher Edwards, Battleship Akhetaten, Manchester System, 824 A.S.
The time has come. We are in position and ready to make the jump to Manchester, the coordinates have been set and we are waiting for the jump drive to finish charging so the Captain can order the jump. Let's hope it all goes well and our fleet is waiting for us on the other side. The Akhetaten has moved into a nebula so that the jump isn't detected by any scanners. All of our communications have been down for the past few hours, we can only assume that everything is going according to plan on the other side. We are ready to make the jump to Manchester.
A few moments later. . .
We made it. We made the jump successfully. Scanning the system for signatures now. The voice of the Captain can be heard in the background, along with the rest of the crew on the bridge. The Captain picks up the radio and requests immediate assistance. Christopher is seen getting up from his chair and leaving the room he has in, presumably headed to the bridge. The recording is still left on, the camera shakes as if the ship is under fire. A few moments later, a large explosion is heard. The sound of sirens echoes through the metal walls of the ship. "Hull breach! Hull breach!" Multiple voices can be heard shouting. The ship is under heavy fire and soon thereafter the recording stops as another shot from an enemy ship hits the hull.
