Biography:
Rogelio was born in Northern Crete in a family stemming back to Spain and Greece back on Earth. Over the generations, the family went through times of both plenty and scarcity; at the time of birth of the little Rogelio it could be classified as "middle calss" by the Cretan standards. Since young age Rogelio was not particularly fierce, preferring studying science, engineering and space navigation intricacies. After graduation from the academy, the family provided some funds for a small cargo vessel, which, together with knowledge of yhings about Sirius, helped to collect funds for a bigger cargo vessel and even a small team to operate it, mostly consisting of amigos/-as and some folk met in various places across the Empire. Rogelio's mixed ancestry gave him respect for various nations within the Empire, so his crew is rather inclusive and respectful for their captain. Probably, that's why they were not against taking longer routes vs. shorter and most profitable. But this exploration was fruitful, and now Rogelio takes a respected position in his family with his small fleet of several larger ships, which Rogelio is intending to use as means to make the Corsair Empire and its people stronger and more affluent.
