⧫ Data Log 10-07-827. A.S.
⧫ Findings Project Haurun - Solandros' Ambition
⧫ Damascus Research Station
⧫ 11:11 Sirius Time.
⧫ ENCRYPTION: Classified[V]

Data analysis and construction.

It has been several weeks since Haurun took place in the Coronado system,
both Order and Crayter Republic pilots had laid their lives on the line to defend the expedition to the surface.
Under the watchful eye of the Atum and its defense wing the science expedition had descended
onto Jerichio to investigate the mysterious ruins of the wreckage.
While many details of what they saw and found during their limited time in the ruins have been redacted,
there was no doubt in the minds of the scientists that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to research the constructions and weird radiation.

Unfortunately for the research team, their ability to actually analyse and comb through their findings was severely
limited by the circumstances they were operating in, as well as the remoteness of both Alexandria and Damascus Research Station.
A fact the staff on both research stations were very grateful for as the data started arriving as
it gave them the first chance at properly doing so themselves.

Hours, days, weeks passed by as the researchers combed through the expeditions findings;
the wreckage was unlike anything the Order had seen before, speculation designating the origin as some sort of potential early Daam K'Vosh design.
There had been findings of abandoned structures in the past, the nomad cities came to mind,
as did ruins throughout Sirius, but never a potential vessel. The thought was intriguing.

Much to the frustration of the researchers a vast majority of the information gathered was either irrelevant to the
direct goals of the Order or simply so advanced that even the brightest minds among them simply couldn't make
head or tails of what it was they were looking at or how it could possibly work.
There was some irony to their situation; the discovery of a century, maybe even a millennia,
but their scientific understanding so infinitesimal small by comparison they were unable to use it in their favor.

That said, part of the data gathered was very relevant indeed.
The vessel, if it truly was that, seemed to have been powered by a unique power source back in its day.
Unfortunately the power source had long since died out, inoperable and lost to the ages.
However, while replicating it was far beyond the capabilities of mankind, let alone the Order by itself,
the scientists were able to glean some aspects of its workings.

After months of debate, analysis and arguing within the science division,
the scientists were eventually able to use the knowledge gleaned from the vessels power source to design an improved power cell.
This new and improved power cell would be nothing compared to the original but a vast improvement for the
Orders current options in a way that could be replicated with the resources available to them here in the Omicrons.

Under command of the top brass of the Order the Science Division set to work to construct
several of these devices so they could be put to extensive testing.
While the designs were clear in theory, in practice it initially turned out to be quite the challenge to apply this newfound knowledge.
Many of the first power cells that were constructed were deemed failures;
improper calibrations, wrong materials and fuel sources all played a part in this.
Eventually however, they succeeded in getting everything just right. Potentially the first of many power cells to come was constructed.

It would take months before the power cell design was sufficiently tested to be considered safe for trials on human vessels.
Time the Order simply did not have. Admiral Solandros insisted on performing the first test flight with the new power cell himself;
unwilling to let a fellow agent risk their life with an untested power cell, especially as a result of an operation he had approved.
Fortunately for the Admiral the test flight went well;
performance of the vessel was beyond expectation with faster response times and an increase in recharge rate.

With the power cell now proved safe to use for testing purposes the Science Division could
significantly speed up the process by utilizing manned test flights.
Now the development of the power cell was in full swing it was decided a suitable name was required.
Following tradition of previous research projects developed by the Science Division the choice eventually fell on
naming it after one of the Orders higher ups; this time falling upon Admiral Solandros in recognition for the reckless but fruitful test flight he had made.
With that decided the project was deemed Solandros' Ambition.

Solandros' Ambition led to mass producible power cells by the Order that outperform their traditional power cells.
Expectation is that the traditional power cells will be phased out over time and replaced by this new upgraded version.

Further information gathered from the vessels ruins on Jericho remain classified.
