Heyo (again)

Hi there

I've played Discovery casually for many years on a few different PCs. I've always just found people to play with on the servers, but never really engaged in the forums. I thought this time I'd say hello here and if I get to it join a player faction for the first time!

At the moment I'm reminding myself of how to play and mucking around as a Coalition insurgent beating up Corsairs. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fairly laidback player faction looking for a crusty old vet? My ancient specialty was in cruisers and battleships, though high-risk transport also seems inticing See you in space!
