RNC Friedrich Der Große
Elbe-class carrier
Hull number - EB-23 (OS)

Launch date: 13/6/822 A.S.
Completion date: 31/3/824 A.S.
Commissioned: 1/7/824 A.S.
Decommissioned: 1/3/828 A.S.
Manufacturer: Daumann Heavy Constructions

Brief ship history
824 A.S. - Commission and trials. After a jump drive failure ship spends rest of the year at the Oder Shipyard.
825 A.S. - Received its own fighter squadron and was deployed as a mobile asset to the border regions, where it served mainly as a forward operating base. Aside from its snubcraft - the ship never entered direct combat itself.
826 A.S. - Taking part in several anti-pirate raids - early successes, later gets almost destroyed by the Corsair trap. Spends rest of the year in shipyard.
827 A.S. - Deployed to the Frankfurt-Munich, when Imperial coup happened. Remains in the Federal service, but during engagement with the Imperial forces is routed and forced to engage an emergency jump to avoid destruction or capture. Ends up in the depths of the Hohenfeld in Thuringia, where it's repeatedly attacked by unknown civilian and military vessels. Surprise torpedo attack into its opened hangar bays obliterates its entire fighter squadron and hangars. Receives heavy damage, but it's successfully rescued by Federal forces.
828 A.S. - Ship joined with the remnants of the Federal navy and was disabled by Imperial forces. Because the vessel's structural integrity was not sound enough for jump, it was towed at the Fort Sommerda, where it was stripped of its useful equipment and decomissioned. Its irradiated hulk remains in the Hohenfeld as it's too dangerous to scrap on site.
