Akhetaten's Schematics

Captain Christopher Edwards, Battleship Akhetaten, New York System, 29/07/827 A.S.

The engineers aboard Juneau finally managed to dig up the Akhetaten's schematics since it's constructions, rather old files themselves. In the past week I was working along with them to help re-create the schematics and bring them up to date with the ship's current state - the refits I've had done to it changed some major parts of her.

After just a few days of hard work I finally have the Akhetaten's current schematics on hand, and this time they won't be getting lost. I'll be making sure to upload each schematic of the ship's decks here, they're safe in those logs after all.

The Akhetaten was refitted to operate with 8 total decks.

The first two of those decks have been reserved for research and observation purposes, along with being outfitted with the necessary life support systems.

Deck 3 is where the ship's crew spends most of their time when not on-duty; the leisure facilities along with crew quarters can be located there.

Deck 4 is where the ship's main cargo bay is located, as well as the upper level of the maintenance rooms, one of the four that is. The other 3 maintenance rooms are spread across decks 5 through 7.

Deck 5 is where the ship's secondary and tertiary hangars are located, resting just above the hangar bay exit, along with that the newly refitted Combat Information Center, or CIC for short is placed in the middle of the thick hull plating on this certain deck. Care has been taken that the CIC is not converted into a death trap, as there are two emergency airlocks on each side of the CIC, providing an exit through the hangar, and an exit through the port side and starboard side of the ship - should the need arise. At this point I think it's important to also mention that area above the CIC, on deck 4 - as well as the are below the CIC, on deck 5, are both out of bounds as their place is taken by the thick plating covering every side of the CIC.

On deck 6, and just below the CIC, inside the thick plating I decided to place the improved ship's armory. The plating serves the double purpose of protecting the CIC along with the armory now. Apart from that, deck 6 is where the primary hangar along with the main airlock are located.

Deck 7, sporting the last maintenance room is a relatively low-usage deck. Along with the last part of maintenance, in deck 7 on can stumble on the reactor room as well as the cargo bunkers 1, 2 and 3. The cargo bunkers purpose is to secure highly dangerous cargo.

Deck 8, and the ships last deck is there for the sole purpose of in-ship turret repairs, as the deck itself is too small to fit any compartment on it's own.

Last but not least, the bow of the Akhetaten has been further reinforced, sporting double the transverse and longitudinal reinforcements than the rest of the ship, at the cost of being completely inaccessible by the crew, making in-flight repairs impossible. The reason behind this is the increase of the ship's frontal hull integrity.

Patching the schematics through now.
