AI - to the point.

Three days ago the GAI ID had their rep changed to -55. This meant AI players could dock on only Freelancer and Zoner bases where it was the norm to be able to dock on most bases.

This was done behind closed doors. Without consultation, without any integrity to fair mindedness and with a total lack of dignity towards those who play this game. What motivates a few to decide for the many to make this...error is beyond my comprehension.

There has been no response from GM's so far about the fracas this has caused. I am sure they will.

Some want to get rid of the AI. Some want to turn it into an NPC faction. Some are traditionalists and want to only RP it as "anti-human". Some want to explore its potential and RP it more broadly, including moving among humans, as a sentient species.

The game has changed. Numbers are few. And people are majorly pissed off. And rightly so.

I appeal to the GM's. Change the AI rep back to where it was, when people bought their ships, and made their RP based on what they could do, and did so over a long period of time. Do it now. Discuss the future of the GAI with the integrity it deserves.
