That priority notice Morreti had put out was an abrupt occurrence. Something he himself hadn't quite planned to do, but there was no real way to account for wildcards such as Siobhan's return. That and the influence she'd had on his outlook over identity, and this white lie he'd been peddling. Lying to all of these people who needed to have implicit trust in his qualities as a leader did him no favors, it only served to be an impending liability if it was ever discovered from a third party rather than himself.

He was here ahead of time, the office all the Luminaries were asked to meet in was empty as of the moment. At least this gave him some time to look out that window and take in the view, finding some comfort in the warm red afterglow of the defiant broken star. Silently, he hoped they would all be here soon, ripping a band-aid off was certainly less tormenting than the slow burn of hesitation and anticipation. At least that was the hope.
