...it would be a standardized tactic called overwhelming force, if you send a small number of people against say one or two, there's a big chance you'll suffer losses, possibly even lose, if you send an overwhelming number, the chance of having losses dramatically reduces, and therefore it is the more effective tactic:)

...nothing against that, this tactic is used since thousands of years in mandkinds history

...but please also think about the player at the other end. It was hard enough to fight that one -JG- tagged ship and several, about 5 to 6 others ships were floating around me, shooting, probably hitting more of their own stuff then my ship
...i like to call that tactics the 'Corsair-Way' to solve things, as they are normally react the same way when get attacked by the Hunters on Crete
//nothing against the Corsairs, good Hunters themselves and good RP'lers in piracy and war situations


...and bringing a huge fleet to defend a system against an Order Osiris sounds logically,...
but if it is only one single fighter...??
...why not fighting one on one or two on one, and if one of yours is defeated the next jumps in for him,... so you bring the same fleet into the fight, but give your oponent a little chance...
...of course, me and my single fighter couldnt be ever able to defeat the liberty forces, and as they know that, why lowering the others fun by killing them with overwelming fleets...??
