Beginning was good, middle not really, the end was not great too. But shortness of event helped greatly to feel only good from it, closing eye on the rest.
- What could we have done to make this more enjoyable and fun?
Killing monster(terrorists), overpowered player-controlled battleships was fun part for me. With new server hardware, we had no lags, everything was smooth and nice regarding it. It was a good challenge.
Killing overpowered NPC with laser beams to 5k distance, which you can't evade was not fun. The tactic to kill them was basically throwing a lot of meat/tanks to overpower, who were dying too much often. There were no ways to evade their blasts. This part looked like throwing just ships against a heartless wall.
Last part, defending[ against CAU10 equipped players was mediocre. We were nervous, but the attacking party was too weak to challenge the defenders, too unequal forces, they probably should have been given some nanobots too. I liked that the defensive part was lasting only 10 minutes.
The distribution of reward... was not a good one. Most people were just unable to dock, and distribution, who takes first, takes the most is not the best strategy too.
- What day and times would you like to see events on? Would you like them at the same time and day each time we do one?
As long as they start not later than 16 or 17, it is fine.
- Do you have any ideas for future events?
Distribution of rewards could be made differently. As an idea... we have working dice command. For example, we throw 1d20, whoever gets better results, gets the reward. And if the reward is suiting only specific ship classes and those ship classes are present, only they will throw dice to get it.
As an alternative, some sort of equal distribution of reward between all present ships. With again preference for distributing rewards between ship classes to whom reward is suited better.
As an alternative, rewards could be distributed according to people's performed results during the event. If you can somehow get who caused damage / kills and e.t.c.
