They share the same internal names. Keeping both could have been problematic. And one was a buffer that was rarely visited whilst the other was a once loved system that people wanted back, and given purpose upon it's return.

Otherwise I'm not sure what you're getting at, although Omicron economy is a bit wonky right now and is being looked into.
