BACKGROUND

For a couple of months, The Order was concerned about surprisingly high Nomad activity within royal remnants knows as Gallic Royal Enclave. While RNS Embrun counts as missing in action after purging of Drake, Order operatives paid attention to another potential collaborator - RNS Charente, which participated in attacks on Freeport 11 helping Nomads in this.
Several days ago The Order contacted Enclave Defence Authority with a proposal to remove Charente once and for all, but while they had actual problems in Omicron Delta and Omicron Zeta with preparation to attack the Core, only the cruiser and its wing have been dispatched to the Orkney, where Charente was spotted last time. Colonel de Lusignan does his best to delay Charente until Order tactical group arrives to organize a common attack on Charente, standing alone in the middle of space.

As promised, William Storgen and his squadron moved to the Orkney system and, together with EDA colonel de Lusignan, have managed to surround RNS Charente. While its escort, including several Nomads, was busy with fighting Enclave and Order forces, RNS Renaissance used its opportunity to attack Charente with success. As a result, La'Row's flagship was critically damaged by Lusignan's suppressive fire and then wrecked battleship was decaying within empty space.
When Order agents left the Hebrides, Enclave scouts tried to find a wreckage of Charente, but once they reached the battle area, they found nothing - RNS Charente disappeared without a single trace. A fate of fallen gauls is unknown...
