I used to be in the Primary Fleet up until about 8 years ago. I had to take a leave of absence but now I'm ready and willing to be of service to The Order and by extension, Sirius.
How long have you been in the Secondary Fleet? (Indie)
Since my return from absence, I've been in the Secondary Fleet for about 3 months now, primarily in the logistics side of things. I've been regularly flying a Bison transport to and from House space, bringing back needed supplies to Akabat, from food and medical supplies to ship construction materials and weapons.
What do you think you can bring to us in the Primary Fleet?
Activity and engagement, I guess.
Please rate your combat skills out of 10 (10 being the best) (Please note: Having a higher score does not affect your application)
Pretty abysmal, probably about 4 in a fighter, 5 or 6 in a capital ship. Difficult to judge as most combat I've been involved in is always greatly one sided.
Section III:Pilot History
Please provide a brief history of yourself.
Some things you can include are;
- Your Origin
- About your personality
- Any previous ventures you have undergone
I imagine if you look back about 9 years, my previous application is still there, so I'll try to keep this bit brief.
Born and raised in the Omicrons, Marcus' parents were Zoners, living and working on Freeport 11. As soon as he was old enough, Marcus joined The Order, did a couple of years as an operative in House space and joined the Primary Fleet. He served in the Primary Fleet, flying a Nepthys for just over a year before he was critically injured after his patrol was ambushed by the Core. Marcus' pod was recovered and he immediately underwent surgery. Despite the highly trained medical team and state of the art equipment, it was a difficult surgery, but fortunately a successful one, albeit with some amputations and state of the art prosthetic replacements. Whilst undergoing physical therapy, he was also examined psychologically and diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder and depression. Once he was returned to full physical health, Marcus requested a prolonged leave of absence and was given it. He has since spent the time working small, temporary jobs across House space, never staying anywhere too long; a habit left over from his years as an operative. After years of living amongst the Houses and bulk of humanity, Marcus' sense of duty reappeared and he made his way back to Order space.
While still medically and psychologically fit for service, Marcus does show some depressive feelings and is often described as cold, or nihilistic. This stems from the fact that most of his time spent in the Primary and Secondary Fleet has been fighting against against humans instead of Nomads. He considers The Order's goal of defending humanity to be futile, as humans are intent on fighting each other, despite the clear and obvious alien threat. Despite his belief that the fight is futile, he is steadfast in his duty to the greater good.
