Silently, he regarded the bottle, but didn't seem to have much motivation to do much more than that. It could have been that he just wasn't thirsty, or more likely was the fact that he wasn't in the mood for alcohol. Even if it might have been a smart choice given all the things that were crashing and burning in the various corners of his mind. His composure was clearly off, like he'd been rattled if such a play on words could act as a fitting descriptor for his current state.

"Do you hate me?" His eyes seemed to be focused on nothing of importance, a piece of muck in the background or a dent in a section of the table. The words came out without much deliberation, as if the thought had only just crossed his mind and been spat out for the sheer sake of either breaking the silence, or getting rid of it.
