Doc had heard stories like this before. Sadly, they never ceased to stop coming. Thinking of his own failed marriage, he felt like a saint every time he heard a story like this. Sonja, as he learned her name to be, was an average framed woman, no match for a large man and the story incensed him enough to have to get up and walk across the room for a minute. Michelle, an abuse survivor herself, stayed with her. Doc's anger of the subject was visible to her as Michelle just gave a quiet look in his direction. Sonja still couldn't turn her head yet so she wouldn't have noticed.

"It's OK," said Michelle as she wiped her face with a tissue. She then sighed, "I understand. You have no idea." She also started changing the dressings on her wounds per Doc's request. Exposing the body of a female patient was left to female staff per Med Force SOP or at least being present. As she worked, Doc returned to her side. While Michelle worked, he returned to her side. He administered her next round of medicine and changed her IV bag. Michelle finished her work and stayed with her.

"Listen," Doc explained, "I know that your memory is shady but we found your identification in your ship. Sonja is your name. For now, do not worry about what happened. You are safe here and the only law in Baffin is Zoner law so try to relax. I do not mind the cat so long as she keeps away from the equipment and does not get into your bandages."
He examined her face, looking at the healing. "If you wish, I can have some food brought in. It is better than what is coming through that tube."

With that, Michelle tied up the bag in the trash can and ordered another be brought in. Doc awaited Sonja's reply, not wanting to assume she was ready to eat.
