help needed

This might sound quite random, but believe me it is what I experienced and I immediately uninstalled it. FireFox 3. I use the online listing to see who's who and what they're flying, thus I have the browser open at most times whilst playing. After installing FF3, the game would lag at points in the exact manner that you describe. I don't know if this is specifically a FF3 problem or maybe just my Windows setup, I don't know...but either way I didn't have the problem before and have not encountered ever since reinstalling FF2. With all this said, you might not even have FireFox at all.

Anyway, I strongly recommend purchasing a video card, dedicated hardware is always better than integrated. On-board video uses RAM for the memory rather than having its own modules and that can have a serious impact upon performance, with some cases resulting in unplayable games. I believe this is irrelevant of the amount of RAM you have. One gigabyte is certainly enough for this game, not perfect by all standards but enough...I was until recently using a half and I had little problems.
