Konbanwa,
Today I report in with an unusual matter.
With the end of the conflict with Gallia, despite the formalization still pending, I took it on myself to travel one last time to the Languedoc system.
We lost many but fought furiously, we stood against a foe outnumbering us and yet we were victorious in the final battle of Languedoc.
It cost everyone of us a friend, a partner, a brother or sister, a comrade. A price never undone and unable to be repaid. A price we willingly risked to pay for Kusari.
We stood bravely, my friends. We will never forget what we saw there and we shall never forget the losses.
So many vessels lay abandoned and disabled in Languedoc now, among them the vessel I have served on for many years now.
I wish to make use of this opportunity to say my final farewell to the Yamaguchi and the crew unable to escape this grim faith. Barely anyone of my wing made it out of the final battle.
I was Yamaguchi's barkeeper during peace times, using the calm patrol plan to socialize and sweeten every guests day in my spare time. I have spoken to many, daily, I had many friends among them. Friends now gone.
I do not judge the Government, the Shogunate or the Emperor for the faith of the Yamaguchi, nor will I embrace hatred and blame the Gallics entirely.
I will instead mourn for my friends and every fallen comrade and foe in silence and with honor. I ask you all to do the same, to accept the grim destiny of this conflict but not to blame other humans for it, especially not to let sadness and hate overcome you and blur your vision for the important things: Kusari and her people.
Additionally, I forward a single request to the Kaigun. Do all you can to retrieve the wrecks and corpses. They shall not be left on foreign soil.
With every loss in heart, we shall stand strongly to keep Kusari safe, whatever may happen.
