Krumai's Journey to the Light

January 9, 828 AS

Ainu just had an emergency. When I woke up I saw many people running for their ships. Interestingly most of them were members of the so-called Gen'an cell. A fight outside was inevitable. I could even hear the telepathy that was directed to the immediate vicinity. How unironic that the Gen'an would seek to remove the presence of the so-called "enlightened". I was wise not to trigger my usual instinct of cowering away in fear. We all have common sense; 28 years have passed since humanity became aware of their presence in the colonies.

Watching a live holofeed has delighted me for minutes now. Numerical strength meant nothing on the Gen'an. While it took two gunboats to disable a "Nammu"-class gunboat vessel they were unprepared. The "light" taught them a lesson. When I tried to communicate with them, they understood my message.

"Hello, bringers of the light". What dawns you to come to our place? They had the same answer: to purge "darklings" and seek "light". It became clear that the so-called "light" I was pondering on for weeks is a fact, that is, "done" in the strictest sense, kr̥tás. I "thanked" these bluish beings, of course, and they departed. "Farewell. The light has given me wamrth. Everything is clear and pure as the colorful nebula surrounding my home."

As I fall asleep, I dream of another poem:
