He gave a smile to Sonja. It would appear that his guest of honor approved and Michelle, sitting with her, was enjoying some much deserved time off herself.
She got close to Sonja's ear. "I so love sitting here and listening to that man play."
With a refill on his drink, Doc continued on a non-stop one hour set. He stayed away from classics as he wanted to liven the growing crowd up a bit. It was the end of the day for most and most came here.
Ragtime

He lost himself in it. For Doc, it was unwinding after a long day and providing some enjoyment for an otherwise dark place where so many succumbed to their injuries. It was if time forgot itself and so pain disappeared. While everyone knew his abilities and loved to hear him play over and over, it was the new people that he liked to play for and make an impression on.
