Recently, forces of His Majesty, King George, came under attack by rebel forces still loyal to Carina. Fortunately, we got a little warning when security personnel discovered a saboteur aboard the Essex. They were unable to actually prevent the sabotage, however. The discovery did allow us to begin an evacuation of all personnel from the HMS Essex. Fortunately, we were able to drive off the hostile forces, including the pride of Carina's fleet, the HMS Pendragon and completed our evacuation without incident. His Majesty was taken to safety just before the beginning of hostilities, so no harm came to him.

Up until this point, we have done our best to authenticate His Majesty's claim to the throne peacefully. However, in the face of such an obvious assassination attempt, we can not continue to remain on the defensive.

Effective immediately, any forces who have not sworn loyalty to His Majesty will be treated as enemies of the Crown. His Majesty desires a peaceful future for Bretonia, but we will not be defeated.
