He nodded to the comms officer. She reached over and pressed a sequence of buttons to activate the shipwide comms, then gave a thumbs-up sign. Donovan cleared his throat and began.

This is General Donovan Markey. I wish to thank you, my crew, the courageous men and women of the Hampton Roads. By your bravery, the strike on the HMS Pendragon was successful, and the crew of the Sovereign were able to strike the shields of the Pendragon, forcing her to begin a hasty retreat. She fled, and we followed behind, never ceasing, never letting up. You, gunners, manned the Inferno cannons well, letting loose their blazing light on the Pendragon. The main gun stitched holes across the Dragon's hull, baring vital components to the void. The Dragon fled, back to New London, back to lick its wounds and try to think. She will have precious little time to do so, however. I have been informed that the KGL is moving. The King will rise to power!
