Today was a rather normal day of patrols with just a few incidents here and there, a couple of civilians who wouldn't listen and a couple others who were a lot more cooperative. However, between those ordinary encounters happened an event which I'd like to keep documented here.
At approximately 21:25:00 Sirius time our scanners briefly caught a glimpse of what looked like a Gallic Navy ship about 17 kilometers from the Manhattan grid. The crew was immediately alerted and the Akhetaten entered battle stations within the next minute. Surprisingly, the unknown vessel conveniently disappeared from our scanners about five seconds after it's appearance. We ran a perimeter scan of the entire area surrounding Manhattan, hoping to see something relevant but we did not. The are was completely clean and no sign of any foreign military vessel was found.
A few minutes after the above events, our scanners once again showed what appeared to be a nomad lifeform of medium to large size, closing in on our position. The lifeform instantly disappeared from our scanners approximately a minute after it was detected.
The Akhetaten is currently undergoing a maintenance, I need to make sure our scanners are completely operational and that I am not seeing things.
