Sender ID: 1SR.Admiral James Reyna To: Other members of High Command Subject: Status of the Retribution & Potential Businesses
Greetings Gents,
After the recent skirmish with Outcast capitals in New York left the Retribution with extensive damage to its hull and ability to maintain life support, the ship was left in Norfolk's dry dock and worked on vigorously by the engineers there. After a week of having it looked at by the shipyard's highly trained engineers, the Retribution's hull has been fully repaired along with its life support systems allowing it to roam Liberty void without trouble. Not only were the hull and systems repaired, the ship is also now outfitted with a newly improved tracking system that would make the job of our gunnery much easier.
After receiving the good news of the Retribution's restoration, i decided to take it out for a test flight for the crew to adapt to the new systems for future combat. Although i must say, the engineers at Norfolk really did a fantastic job. They accomplished so much within just a week, now i truly understand why Liberty was able to produce massive amounts of combat ready warships during times of need. Being in the bridge while the ship was moving had never felt more smoother.
But now enough of talking about the ship. The main reason why i am sending this transmission is to inform High Command of an Freelancer that had appeared while i was evaluating the ship's improvements. The Freelancer had just un-moored from Norfolk in a vessel normally used for constructing installations. He then revealed himself to be the captain of 'NX-01', a Bustard which recently offered it's services to the 5th fleet.
I believe that he will prove to be a good asset to Liberty as he has coordinates to other systems as well, which may prove useful to the [CLASSIFIED] division. He also made it to be free-of-charge for us officials and the government agencies in which i think it would be beneficial in terms of Liberty's economy and military. We would be able to have access to ready-to-use coordinates for ourselves and have the ability to respond to distress calls coming from systems away.
After talking about his plans and our potential business partnership in the future, he then had to depart and send a application for a legal construction of his future installation. If the Government allows it, we will have a source of coordinates for our warships to make use of in future battles.
This is everything i have to report as of now, will update on the status of the Retribution the next visit.
[06.04.2021 13:47:42] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Good day.
[06.04.2021 13:47:43] SR-BCP: Leon: Hail, LNS vessel!
[06.04.2021 13:48:28] SR-BCP: Leon: I operate a vessel named NX-01, perhaps you've heard of it?
[06.04.2021 13:48:56] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: NX-01...hm. Oh yes, the one that offered their jumping services perhaps?
[06.04.2021 13:49:06] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: I have heard of your proposal to the 5th.
[06.04.2021 13:49:16] SR-BCP: Leon: Not exactly jumping, but coordinated, yes.
[06.04.2021 13:49:26] SR-BCP: Coordinatees*
[06.04.2021 13:49:38] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Ah, apologies. I might have heard wrongly there then.
[06.04.2021 13:49:51] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: So you offer coordinates eh?
[06.04.2021 13:49:56] SR-BCP: Leon: I'm here with this ship to scout for a location for an installation.
[06.04.2021 13:50:18] SR-BCP: Leon: I do. My bustard is equipped with a few bits of hardware that could support the Navy.
[06.04.2021 13:50:48] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Hm, the 46th might be interested in such services.
[06.04.2021 13:51:23] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: But we only operate within Liberty, so that is not of utmost importance at the moment.
[06.04.2021 13:51:40] SR-BCP: Leon: The NX-01's databanks are almost full of system scans. I need an installation to offload my black box data.
[06.04.2021 13:51:51] SR-BCP: Leon: Hence why I'm here.
[06.04.2021 13:52:48] SR-BCP: Leon: Then once I offload my data, it's free for anyone to use.
[06.04.2021 13:52:53] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: I see. Well if the Retribution ever needs some of those, we will find a way to contact you.
[06.04.2021 13:53:22] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Where are you planning to construct the installation?
[06.04.2021 13:53:24] SR-BCP: Leon: If you ever want to contact me, ask for "Freelancer NX-01"
[06.04.2021 13:53:36] SR-BCP: Leon: That'll gaurantee I see it on the neural net.
[06.04.2021 13:54:15] SR-BCP: Leon: To be honest, somewhere where the Navy presense was strong, and where my data could be easily accessed.
[06.04.2021 13:54:36] SR-BCP: Leon: Between this shipyard and the Missouri looked promising.
[06.04.2021 13:54:51] SR-BCP: Leon: Unless you had a better suggestion?
[06.04.2021 13:55:19] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: I suggest somewhere close to either Norfolk or Manhattan. Most of our operatives are stationed there.
[06.04.2021 13:55:35] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: You could also consider near Baltimore perhaps? Our HQ Salt Lake is there.
[06.04.2021 13:56:00] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: There would be quick response forces if anything happens.
[06.04.2021 13:56:21] SR-BCP: Leon: I'd hope there's a quick response here too.
[06.04.2021 13:57:14] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Most of our warships are docked here, including the Retribution, this is where we return to for repairs and such.
[06.04.2021 13:57:43] SR-BCP: Leon: Seems I've picked a good spot for my little installation.
[06.04.2021 13:57:57] SR-BCP: Leon: If I placed it here, would the 46th have a problem with it?
[06.04.2021 13:58:15] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Negative, any problems lie within the Government.
[06.04.2021 13:58:23] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: We simply protect and serve.
[06.04.2021 13:58:49] SR-BCP: Leon: Guess it's time to fill in that requisition form at the offices on Manhattan.
[06.04.2021 13:59:42] SR-BCP: Leon: It's good to hear that you may be interested in scans of Liberty space.
[06.04.2021 13:59:51] SR-BCP: Leon: We'll see what your government says.
[06.04.2021 14:00:09] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Indeed, it is a little tedious to respond to distress calls in other systems. Our warships are a little slow sometimes.
[06.04.2021 14:00:34] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Well i hope your request gets a positive response, would be good for the Liberty Navy to have access to such scans.
[06.04.2021 14:00:39] SR-BCP: Leon: *laughs* Well lucky I have fresh scans of every single sovereign system - for all houses.
[06.04.2021 14:01:01] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: I'm amazed, that must've taken quite a long time.
[06.04.2021 14:01:06] SR-BCP: Leon: If Liberty rejects my offer, I'd simply ask the next house.
[06.04.2021 14:01:39] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: If it does get accepted though, the 46th is looking forward to a future partner ship with you.
[06.04.2021 14:01:41] SR-BCP: Leon: Pain in the ass... but it serves me well. If I want to go see the sights in the Omegas, I have the scan.
[06.04.2021 14:02:20] SR-BCP: Leon: Well, uhh... sorry, I didn't catch your name.
[06.04.2021 14:02:20] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Quite convenient that is, do you have scans of the Galileo system at the moment?
[06.04.2021 14:02:54] SR-BCP: Leon: Let me access NX-01's logs...
[06.04.2021 14:02:59] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Sorry, that's rude of me, my name is James Reyna.
[06.04.2021 14:03:24] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: I am an Admiral within the force and it seems that we are off to a good start for future business.
[06.04.2021 14:03:39] SR-BCP: Leon: Nice to meet you, Reyna. I do have the scan for Galileo.
[06.04.2021 14:04:20] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Pleasure to meet you as well.
[06.04.2021 14:04:24] 46th|LNS-Retribution: oh okay
[06.04.2021 14:04:45] SR-BCP: Leon: Admiral? That's great, seems my proposal is already accepted *laughs*
[06.04.2021 14:05:28] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Hah, don't think for a second my rank allows me to decide which installations are legal or not in Liberty.
[06.04.2021 14:05:39] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: All that is decided by those way above my paygrade.
[06.04.2021 14:06:11] SR-BCP: Leon: In saying that, let's go see what they say.
[06.04.2021 14:06:21] SR-BCP: Leon: Godspeed, Rayna.
[06.04.2021 14:06:55] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Till we meet again, Captain Leon, i will inform the admiralty of the 46th about your services.
[06.04.2021 14:07:18] SR-BCP: Leon: Thank you very much. You know who to ask for if there's anything else.
[06.04.2021 14:07:30] 46th|LNS-Retribution: CIC: Righto, godspeed.
James Reyna
