Why does the SHF got nerfed heavily?

I don't feel afraid that I'm gonna log in one day in Elite Dangerous and find out that my engineered beam lasers with thermal vent will have completely different functions from what I've build them for

That is precisely why a lot of the Elite "PvP community" has little faith in that game ever breaking away from "haha 3456743675432567K shield FDLs". FDev should be doing a full rework of the engineering system but they lack the balls to do it. I believe it was once marketed as a 'sidegrade' system, which is a pretty good joke.

I am actually not opposed to SHFs having bomber gun access but I would rather first focus on bomber guns being well-balanced on bombers.

We'll also buff the weaker SHFs as required. People need to relax.
