Flowers and cookies

"I only heard of it, few people who saw it say it's a really good picture." She said, folding her toast in half and taking a bite off of it.

She was done with her breakfast earlier than Isla, still preserving a habit of eating fast. "Whew. I'm surprised. I don't remember the last time I cooked this good." She put her dishes into a dishwasher, which was just between the stove and a small fridge. She then took her coffee mug and walked by Isla, gently caressing her back. "Take your time, I'll arrange the room in the meantime." To make their experience more enjoyable, she wanted to unfold one of the couches. Gladly, there was enough distance between either of them and the table itself. However, unlike most things in her house, these couches didn't had anything automated - each of them had to be unfolded manually, which wasn't much of a trouble for her.

She unfolded the one on her right and took two pillows from the opposite one. As she covered it with a black silk blanket and arranged all four pillows, she kneeled down on it and picked up the remote from a table. Said remote wasn't just controlling the TV screen, it was also an access to her living room's lights. And even if it was getting darker on the outside, she still wanted to set up a fitting ambience. Everything except the kitchen was completely blacked out, only for her TV screen to serve as the source of light, which was still enough to light up the entire room.

She browsed through her cinema library, which consisted entirely out of movies from the bygone era, of movies that were made back on Earth. Some of them had to be recreated, others managed to last as digital copies and were adapted to the technology of her age. Yet she was waiting for Isla to join her.
