  Alfsonso has embraced the harsh and brutal life on Crete and used it to shape himself into his percieved embodiment of a true Cretan. A soldier and mercenary his entire life, he doesn't shirk from the violence necessary to pave the way for a better future for the Corsair people. Sagarra has advanced his way ruthlessly up the ranks and most recently was leading a mercenary company that had swallowed many of its rivals and amassed considerable resources including a couple hijacked frigates even before lending his power to the Empire. Knowing the strong will conquer all, he has joined the cause that has the most potential for making the Sairs mighty.
