Bit difficult to pick out what information in there to look at.
The faction is sure active a lot but I'm not sure if a collection of, OSC event, pob take over is a sufficient presence on the forums in regards to developing the faction. There might be more but as I said it's a bit tedious to pick out what to look at.
It will be safe to say we have been the most active Liberty Navy faction in terms of forum presence by a pretty wide margin over our existence. You will find our message dump, reports and many of our threads to be by far the most active. We've had multiple story threads involving large amount of people, encourage our members to do so, our HQ PoB roleplay was very active and hard earned Core4, working with USI and starting many threads that stirred action were done too. One area we can be more active in is communications section to 3rd parties, sure.
One huge reason to get officialdom is to help our members but also people like you Skorak to be able to make sense of the many, many normal and story threads we have that are scattered betwen PoB,Story,Unofficial Faction sections and others, covered by other posts.
Mini-events
We are doing something different actually. Think of our mini-events as not something designed to stirr forum activity. Instead it's getting the logistics in, some comms but most importantly actual physical players of various factions together to interact and roleplay in-game and react to the server. OSC event had 10+ people, a mad cacophony of frentic roleplay, it was a lot of fun, and was ended by Nomad invasion when it ran it's course. Events like these along with patrols and various RP missions are why we attract more roleplay oriented people and beginners, as they feel included and active and contributing right off the bat, without needing to be a PvP ace. Or needing to sign-up on forums in an event isolated from the server.
When we will get officialdom we will be able to do more of these, like e.g. Light Fighter race (we did it before @Slappy ) and involve more people as we can e.g. ask the start of the race to not be interrupted with FR3, and ask for people to hunt racers after they left the starting 10k radius etc.
I think events like these and their turnout are just a great testament of the strenght of this community, no matter what people might say.
ID
OF will allow us to make slight changes based on our gameplay. It will not be radical overhaul, No. But small changes like re-adding Vespucci we have been raiding as the only Navy faction (And atracted many indies to join us. And then paid dearly because we willingly cut ourselves from reinforcements) , potential to add-lines to divisions (like potentially our Recoil light fighter scouts being able to have some more lines other than attack in e.g. Nu etc.) This will come with gameplay and RP development, and gives us greater flexibility.
EDIT: Disclaimer: These opinions are my own - I am not part of the official 1iC+2iC HC, only 4-5th in line inside the faction. But I do try to help out the faction when I can, and have a reasonably good idea about it's direction
