ENTRY #03 - Working My Way Up

Beginning Encrypted Feed...

It's been a while but I brought good news dear diary

After the past days being pretty quiet with no jobs to get, because yes this old rust arbor with barely anyone taking me serious. I met some familiar faces at Trenton again. Seems these three girls are all friends and were chattering about their daily life and all. I talked with them about my current plans on getting the ship I saw in that one magazine. A border worlds Series X 'Dagger', I really like the ship and they seemed cool with that too, one of them being experienced with space travelling told me that in fact Freeport 1 would sell one.

But before I could get my hands on that I need to work harder... and have luck... much luck. But seems my father's ship seems to attract USI convoys, one other transport captain of Universal granted me for a short escort flight to a neighboring star system and also paid me 5 million bucks, can you believe that... didn't even had to fight... well better it is. Maybe they just pitied me, eh.

After returning then I saw the three girls still being there, luckily New York is pretty silent this day... then to my surprise the one ma'am I saw having the fight with that one rogue offered me a job. She got a friend that likes Liberty Ale and would wire me some cash helping her out delivering some... only hook is Bretonia... Heck, it is exciting and the payment would be enough to get to the new ship. I couldn't say no Bretonia would even be on my way to Omega-3, with that I stored up on some extra fuel tanks and bought crates of this booze.

Before I could go though, there was this mysterious "special agent" again being... special. Yeah, he really seemed suspicious, the heck that creep was even planning to. Waited until he left and took my long flight to Bretonia. Surely I was excited, first time abroad, visiting another house, the girls told me to fly over Cortez, since Magellan is more dangerous and indeed, saw some shocking thing on the news, when stopping by for refueling my ship on Curacao... this place is so cutting edge with its luxuries and these crystal clear oceans and sandy beaches... so cool, maybe I can afford some rest here one day when I got enough riches.

The whole flight went luckily uneventful with only some Mollys being to dumb... or drunk to realize anything at all when trying to pirate me, probably wanted more booze.
Bretonia is surely another new world for me... the systems covered in these wine red starspheres, their whole culture, architecture... So much new things to see, though the thing they call food, uhh... no thanks, the tea with some shot of Gin felt good I guess... wondering though what these weird demon statues and figures around their buildings and rooms are supposed to be... Bretonians are weird also their dialect.

Still a job is done, I'm resting at a motel over night and await for Miss Sable's reply to meet with his friend getting done with the little delivery. After this I will be finally able to go to Omega-3 in hope to get my ship. I'm so excited!
