ENTRY #05 - Nightmare Ride

Beginning Encrypted Feed...

Hell, what have I signed up for... n-not good... definitely not oh... damn.

Well, diary how I ended the hell up in this... just... wow the Border Worlds surely look beautiful, but hell the dangers in here, as we already got greeted by a mine field when flying over Dublin, where pirates, gold diggers and all types of scary spooks lurk, after jumping taking a jump hole, unsure if I can trust these things, we ended up in Omega-49... so far so good our first stop. I rested there with the guy on Gran Canaria and we stocked up food and supplies for the long ride, already being out here for a while and we are not even done with the first half.

But then on the next day things just got even worse... It all began already with pirates lurking around, I had still my cool but yeah, got told to scout out the jumping anomalies nearby. Easy job for my nimble fast ship... scouted out the area and the holes seemed stable with no rat lurking around. We hurried up, as we proceeded the captain's long range scanner detected something, probably the group of pirates already on our tail, heck keep it cool ash, engines full thrust and through the middle... into the unknown.

Seriousely never been her, luckily the transport captain was an old hare in their job and knew their ways... as these crazy worlds would be a second home they navigated me through and pointed me to look here and there for trouble... all went good so far until we arrived what was it called Omicron Gamma? The Walker Nebula seemed already otherworldly for me, all Omegas seemed so beautiful but now I'm in this gloomy eerily green cloud... radiation slowly feasting on my ships hull and... geez no... out of the sudden a Gunship of the feared Corsairs arrived. Classic cutthroat pirates in the book with their feared reputation and legendary stories... exactly these kinds of people I didn't want to meet, still we just got to push through, but they were on our bum.

Got told to cruise disrupt him, that we could gain distance, definitely don't want to get caught by these type of guys, would be my certain death sentence. Luckily my cruise disrupting shenanigans worked out and we could hide again inside the cloud, we are somewhere nowhere... to my surprise captain told me we are right at their home, are you serious?!

Heavens, every minute things got worse, although we managed to escape through Omicron Theta, where the hell this lies in this wild east, I'm feeling in some kind of movie, from western to horror all at once. The captain managed to land their ship on a nearby Zoner Outworlder base... sadly these guys seemed extremely hostile too strangers and I got told to bugger off, didn't want my kind here. Yeah... lucky me. No problem said the captain, as I should view things more with optimism and stay my cool, not that easy considering the horror show happening, the corsairs are still tailing us I feel it, I got coordinates to check out an libertonian station in Sigma-17 to refuel, apparently Cryer got a research station here to research some bacteria for their business, whatever could finally repair my ship and get a bit rest.

On my way back to rendezvous with the convoy it finally escalated, with directly falling to that Corsair's trao, seemed really pissed about the fact me distracting one of his peers... just wanted to flee... I'm scared... I-I... really no... not like this... after that things went worse, as I steered through escaping his gunshots, heck what ship is he even flying never seen anything crazy as that... only one thing in my mind... survive... please somebody help...

At last he got... bored... had pity, I'm hecking lucky atleast... but got hold captive, he stopped and gave me one last chance... I'm no fighter I thought I'm dead meat, well it isn't over... captain tried to contact me what's happening, then the Corsair gave me one choice, telling me where the captain hides or luring him here or I'm dead. I felt dirty for doing this but I'm hellishly scared, I just want to bail out of this, my ship is leaking, a wing tearing apart and this guy holding a knife up to my throat. I feel like a traitor. I told the 'sair where the captain hides... you really fricked up big time Ash... I was really a dumb fool... what shit you all do for a lot of money. Well, lured the captain over... but was honest with my words telling then the pirates are waiting.

The captain saved my life, at cost of his whole delivery, flying over here into the maw of the bloodthirsty pirate. Still, all this long tiresome flight for nothing... I'm feeling bad for this. Disturbed by the shit I've just seen. I'm not experienced at the moment for all of this, just too much. Didn't want to fight, but sometimes it is unavoidable. The captain still had a good heart cheering me up giving me life lessons we had an after talk, he still... paid me, for what? Me being a snitch, no or am I? Should I moan about it? Only can blame myself. I need to look forward, telling me to see things from the positive side, we are both alive. "Gifted" me the cash, I still feel bad but will think about his words.

Fleeing to a Luxury Liner somewhere in the Sigma's, good to see jump gates leading to civilization again. I'm tired, just want to get home... repaired my ship and took my long flight home, hope I make it safely, better don't tell my paps about this. This was surely hell of a ride, but this thrill, the cold chill in my spine and these beautiful worlds to see. I...I.. want in a way more, just not with risking my life this foolishly next time but with this payout, heck I can rest for some while clearing my mind. Well time to go home... over Kusari? How this place is I wonder?
