Omicrons are a space of opportunities and new horizons. During a journey into the unknown, after an uneventful trip through Omicron Delta, we made contact with an interesting gathering in Omicron Kappa, involving several Zoner and AI ships.

Capitán JJ Mathers, commanding the Flash Magnus, was pleased by our arrival and the results of previous trading business between us. On the contrary, another Zoner in the area, FZS-Olivia.Levasseur, was disgusted by our presence; the captain showed biased preconceptions about our methods. Furthermore, this crew in particular did everything right to be worthy of destruction, rejecting the slavery we maintain in our society, justifying it as supposed opportunism from our part. Fortunately to them, we were already occupied starting communication procedures with a more open-minded kind, the Artificial Intelligence.

Mainframe Moebius, an AI cruiser, recognized itself as Emissary of The Central Core. Followed by Subnode Ava, they proclaimed to be establishing relations with the nearby entities and executing exploration routines. Moebius was particularly dedicated to make diplomatic moves, starting a similar human dialogue with us; meanwhile Ava seemed to be undertaking scanning and reconnaissance duties. After an extensive talk, included in the logs, we clarify certain points that appeared to be obvious to us, like the definition of slavery. Their sate for curiosity was agreeable to our terms, as they displayed interest in our kind, query after query.

Moreover, they wanted us to give them slaves. Of course, slaves are valuable properties and we import them massively; we do not want them to go into waste, unless it is needed or desirable. I played kindly with these particular beings and invited them to my home system. I did not want to confiscate such precious workforce out of nowhere with an abrupt vote of confidence on them, but I made sure that we give them a good impression: A delivery of 10 units of Cardamine.

AI claimed to be interested in the substance and they wanted to conduct research about it, as I presumably understood correctly; if we keep them in check, we could speed up scientific endeavors regarding this complex compound. Also, a singular new market could be made with these machines, ensuring the spreading of Cardamine beyond conventional means. Finally, we departed to our own ways in good standing.

AI and Zoners

As a side note: Security in Omicron Alpha is required to be improved each day it passes. In that regard, we have seen Maltese ships being deployed constantly, entering and exiting our system; one of them was MNS-Valladolid. This Outcast vessel, led by capitán Sebastián Alejandro, was doing patrol job in our dominions; Sebastián reflected commitment and resolution in his words. The more time our enemies strengthen themselves, the more we need people like him; steadfast and strong, the potential shown by a Maltese and predominantly lacking in our enemies. We hope to see each other soon in the frontline.
