Planetary Surveys

Expeditionary Unit 3242 reporting in more data. Brief scoutings of the Coronado Sector were initiated, surveying the moons of Salina and other potential candidates.

First subject of the Sector is Planet Baja, meeting the criteria as a barren world, but lacks a sufficient atmosphere. Although the abundance of minerals is noted, the Planet is ultimately deemed unworthy for the cryo-terraformation project. In addition, the proximity to the Natio facility would potentially pose a problem.

Secondary subjects are the moon subjects known as Draibi and Socorro. Both objects meet the criteria of barren, but Draibi possesses a minimal atmosphere, in addition to noxious gasses and on-going plate movement, rendering it unsuitable for the project. Socorro, however, has an atmosphere persisting of carbon-dioxide and argon. Although volcanic activity is more prevalent on the moon, it may be a suitable candidate for experimentation on stabilizing the tetonic plates. Proximity to the local forces should be noted, particularly the looming guards over Jericho. Although the defensive area has no direct scan vector of the World, impeded by the environment, it may be prudent to utilize the Miners Guild towns upon the frozen moon, Pecos.
